When I started Comedic Pursuits in February, I had no idea that anyone would actually read it. I thought I would send this little website out into the World Wide Web and then…nothing would happen.
But silly me, I forgot how incredibly supportive and amazing the people involved in the DC comedy scene are.
I started this website to give back to a community that has enthusiastically welcomed me since I started taking improv classes at Washington Improv Theater in early 2016. The DC comedy community has made this city feel like home since then. It is a community of warmth, encouragement, and enthusiasm. I can’t thank you all enough for the support you’ve shown through your readership, writing assistance, and kind words here and there.
Because of this amazing community, Comedic Pursuits isn’t even a year old, but it’s already managed to do quite a lot! We’re ringing in the new year by taking a look at how this past year has gone. Check out our infographic to see what we’ve been up to in 2018 and some of our plans for 2019.
