Some highlights from District Comedians this week: Improv Brunch lets you eat and watch improv, Definitely Real Comedy hosts a showcase chock full of local talent, and The Puppet Co. collaborates with WIT ensembles this week at Interplay.
Sunday, May 20
Improv Brunch is happening at noon at The Pinch, featuring improv from Innocent Innuendo, Mind Map, 37 Puppies, Hash Browns, Blood Pact, and The Church.
If you want to get your jam on, head to Improv Sandbox at 1pm at Emergence Community Arts Center. This week’s jam will feature a set from Improv Imps.
Milestone Comedy hosts local comedy showcase Exiles Comedy Show at Exiles Bar at 7pm.
Dhaya Lakshminarayanan headlines DC Improv‘s DC Science Comedy show at 7pm ($17).
WIT’s Interplay Road Show closes out the weekend at DCAC at 7:30pm with Company Blood Drive, Love Onion, and Hellcat with artists from Super Art Fight ($15).
Monday, May 21
Broken Mic Comedy hosts their weekly comedy showcase at Shenanigans at 8pm.
Tuesday, May 22
This week’s Harold Night features WIT ensembles Captain PhD and Wonder Whale at 8pm and Oh That Baby, After Pie, and Commonwealth‘s lottery show at 9pm at Source.
Thursday, May 24
Definitely Real Comedy hosts a local comedy showcase, Better Living Through Comedy, at Moreland’s Tavern at 7pm.
WIT’s Interplay Road Show indie night kicks off with Dack Norne, Press Play, and The Puppet Co. at DCAC at 7:30pm ($15).
See speakers and performers present on slides they’ve never seen before at Speechless at Drafthouse DC at 7:30pm ($5).
Michael Blackson is headlining at DC Improv this weekend with shows tonight at 7:30pm and 9:45pm, Saturday and Sunday at 7pm, 9pm, and 11pm, and Sunday at 3:30pm, 7pm, and 9pm ($35–$45).
Friday, May 25
Matt Richards headlines at Drafthouse DC this weekend, with shows at 7pm and 9pm tonight at Saturday and one last show on Sunday at 7pm ($20).
WIT’s Interplay Road Show features Death Wipe, Love Onion, and The Puppet Co. at 7:30pm and Madeline and iMusical at 9:30pm at DCAC ($15).
DC Improv‘s DMV Comedy Showcase features sets from Mia Jackson, John Conroy, Brittany Carney, Mike Finazzo, and Adrian Rodney at 7:30pm and 9:45pm ($17)
Friday Night Improv at Dojo has Klinger on at 8:30pm, followed by Radar at 9:30pm ($10).
Schtick lets improvisers try their hand at stand-up at Flash tonight at 8pm ($5).
New and old comics try out their stuff at Attack of the Comics at Drafthouse DC at 10:45pm.
Saturday, May 26
Bear Trap, Nox!, and The Puppet Co. are on stage at WIT’s Interplay Road Show tonight at 7:30pm, followed by Newold, Kindred, and Commonwealth at 9:30pm at DCAC ($15).
Another DMV Comedy Showcase is happening tonight at DC Improv at 7:30pm and 9:45pm, with sets from Mia Jackson, Ross Benoit, Katherine Jessup, Martin Amini, and Tyler Richardson ($20).
Saturday Night Comedy at Dojo features Monty at 6pm, Rooster and Stacey Axler‘s Duo Project at 8pm, and Mishory & Galbraith and Pizza Party at 9:30pm ($10).
Three Guys On hosts their weekly comedy showcase at Drafthouse DC at 10:45pm.

I’m not gonna lie, the fact that The Puppet Co.’s workshops are only for kids is disappointing. Guess I’ll just be sticking to sock puppet props. Also, go see comedy stuff!
