You might notice that this week’s In the Wings starts on Sunday and ends on Sunday, and that’s because I’m changing it up! In the Wings will still be published on Sundays, but it’ll show your DC comedy lineup from Monday through Sunday. Cheers to the freakin’ weekend and being able to plan the whole thing instead of doing work on Mondays!

Some highlights from District Comedians this week: Heavy Rotation debuts at WIT’s Summer Escape, The Summer Camp Show lets you remember what childhood felt like, and Improv Pop-Up is back with a brand new lineup for July.
Sunday, July 8
This month’s Improv Brunch features Goodison, BEST PARTY EVER, Inside Voices, Bugs, The High-Fivers, and Glitter Union at The Pinch at 12pm.
DeRay Davis finishes headlining at DC Improv with shows today at 3pm, 6pm, and 8pm. ($40–$50)
Perfect Liars Club hosts the We Are Family storytelling show at Union Stage at 7pm. Net proceeds will be donated to KIND (Kids in Need of Defense), which works to protect refugee and immigrant children in the U.S. ($20)
See the debut of Heavy Rotation at the WIT Summer Escape run at Source at 7:30pm. The Female Accent and Poetic Resistance will be there, too! ($15)
Underground Comedy hosts their weekly showcase at Wonderland Ballroom at 8pm.
Monday, July 9
If you hate Mondays, catch the Capital Laughs “anti-Monday” show, The Comedy Shuffle, at Bier Baron Tavern at 8pm.
Catch local comedians at Songbyrd at 8pm as part of the Jokebyrd show.
Tuesday, July 10
Story District presents Up S**t Creek at DC Improv at 7:30pm. ($20)
Local comics show you what they’ve got at Attack of the Comics at Solly’s Tavern at 8pm.
This week’s Harold Night features WIT ensembles Out Sick and Tiovivo at 8pm and Captain PhD and Cherry Blossom at 9pm at Source.
UCB performs Damned If You Do at Wooly Mammoth starting tonight at 8pm and running through July 29. (starting at $35)
Phil & a Mic showcases local stand-ups every Tuesday at Bier Baron Tavern at 8:30pm.
Wednesday, July 11
Stacey Axler Comedy hosts Take 711 at Reliable Tavern at 6:30pm, featuring improv from The High-Fivers and the 50 Duo Project, as well as stand-up from Brandon Alston.
Divide and Conquer showcases stand-up about taboo dinner topics race, religion, and politics at Drafthouse at 7:30pm. ($15)
There’s an open mic night at DC Improv at 7:30pm featuring local comics and, maybe, you.
Mary Mack has shows at Bier Baron Tavern tonight and Thursday at 7:30pm. ($10)
The Summer Camp Show accesses your childhood nostalgia via absurdist comedy at Wonderland Ballroom at 8pm.
Underground Comedy’s weekly showcase at Rí Rá Irish Pub happens every Wednesday at 8pm.

WIT’s Summer Escape run features Mind Map, Lena Dunham, Stand up for Whaaa? and Commonwealth’s lottery show at 7:30pm and Camp Stovëtron, Faculty Lounge, and Lena Dunham again at 9:30pm at Source. ($15)
Christian Finnegan headlines at DC Improv this weekend with shows tonight at 7:30pm, Friday at 7:30pm and 9:45pm, Saturday at 7pm and 9:30pm, and Sunday at 7pm. ($17–$22)
Adams Morgan comedy night is every Thursday at 8pm at Town Tavern.
