James will teach you how to identify the funniest thing in your scene, get on the same page about it, and work together to execute focused, hilarious scenes centered on one comedic premise. You'll learn how structure and communicating your intentions to your scene partners can unlock a higher level of agreement and play than simply playing characters who say yes to one another. James has been teaching game-based improv for 3 years, is currently coaching indie team Swoonface, and frequently guest-coaches other teams and WIT classes. He studied at the UCB and Baltimore Improv Group, and he currently performs on WIT Harold Team Captain PhD and the BIG House Macroscene Team.
